Treatment of surfaces to be coated

It's important to ensure the surface is thoroughly clean, removing machining swarf, grease and dirt. Surfaces must be cleaned by degreasing with suitable detergents or thinners.

For cleaning the metal surfaces the suitable diluent is DPM01

You're advised to abrasive blast or sand the surfaces to promote maximum adhesion, especially when dealing with stainless steel, aluminium and other metals with a reflective surface, or difficult metals such as copper, brass, titanium, magnesium, Ergal, etc..

Application

Apply by spraying, using traditional airmix or airless equipment. Fit spray guns with nozzles measuring between 1.2 and 1.7 mm and set air pressure to 3-4 bar.

The thickness of the film to be applied is in the range from 20 to 50 microns.

Air-dries at ambient temperature in approx. 30-40 minutes, though maximum performance is achieved once the surface has been left to cure for at least 5 days.

For ideal curing conditions, use an oven with the following setup: temperature 130-150°C for 60 minutes minimum.

1 Kg (0,5 Kg of product A + 0,250 Kg of product B + 0,250 Lt of diluent DI651)

2 Kg (1 Kg of product A + 0,5 Kg of product B + 0,5 Lt of diluent DI651)

3,5 Kg (2 Kg of product A + 1 Kg of product B + 0,5 Lt of diluent DI651)

7 Kg (4 Kg of product A + 2 Kg of product B + 1 Lt of diluent DI651)

Yield

12 m² with 1 KIT of 2 Kg by applying a thickness of 40 µm.
