Wrinkle effect coating cycle

The wrinkle finish Riloplast has excellent adhesion to most construction materials, both metal type that plastic. However, to ensure better overall performance, we recommend the use of the cycle consists of the paint primer specific for each material.

For metals (iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, brass ...) is recommended epoxy primer K105 EPODUR that gives the entire cycle the following services:

  • Excellent adhesion and high elasticity
  • Resistance to corrosion tested up to 1000 hours in salt spray chamber
  • Water resistant to water and moisture
  • Increased resistance to thermal shock
  • Best aesthetic, especially on uneven surfaces

For plastic substrates, the primer that is recommended is the K54 Duracril, suitable for plastics such as:

  • ABS, PVC, Polystyrene, Polyamide, Polycarbonate

Given the widespread use of plastic polymers and the large number of producers, it is recommended to perform a test to check if the product is suitable. It is not suitable for application on polypropylene and polyethylene.

Both cycles are suitable for the coating of cars and motorcycles, design, furniture, gifts, ornaments, hobby, shipbuilding, exhibition.

The application method is very simple and consists of:

  1. Cleaning of the substrate (removal of dirt, rust, release agents)
  2. Application of primer K105 EPODUR for metal or K54 Duracril for plastic
  3. Drying of the primer (2 hours at 20°C)
  4. Application of the wrinkle finish Riloplast 50 or 80
  5. Cooking in the oven finish (1 hour at 50 or 80°C)
